How To Prime

Your Pourer

How To Use:

After cleaning, the pourer needs to be primed.

This occurs after the pourer has been inserted into the bottle.

Once primed, the measured pour spout is active.

How To Prime The Pourer

1. Cover the opening with a clean towel.

A.) Make sure you create an AIR-TIGHT SEAL over the opening.

2. Tilt bottle in a pouring motion.

B.) Continue to keep an AIR-TIGHT SEAL over the opening for 3 seconds.

3. Tilt the pourer back to an upright position.

C.) Once the bottle is set down, you can release the seal.

*** Without an airtight seal, the priming will not be successful ***

Do this at first time use and after maintenance/cleaning.

Because bottles are different sizes, you’ll discover that the pourer may (or may not) go in all the way. Don’t be alarmed, Ameripour  Measured Liquor Pourers were designed this way to fit as many bottles as possible and still function as desired.

As long as the cork fits snug, you are ready to pour!

How To Pour

Quickly move the bottle into the pouring position at a 45-degree angle or slightly verticle.

If you go too slow, the pourer will act as a continuous pourer. Go too fast and you may get inconsistent pourers.

Maintenance

We recommend cleaning the Ameripour measured pour spouts once a week. Some liquors have high sugar content and that may lead to a build-up of residue and create a possibility for inconstant pouring.

 To remove,

Simply twist and pull straight out.

The Pour Still Isn't Working After Being Primed?

We are proud to say that our failure rate is 0.0004% over the last decade. That's 1 out of 100,000!

There are a few reasons, why after being primed, your measured liquor pourers are not pouring correctly.

1. Not using an airtight seal over opening when priming.

2. Air bubbles might be in the pourers. ( Wash and prime again)

3. Pouring too fast (Use a normal  pouring motion for priming and pouring)

4. Pouring too slow (Use a normal  pouring motion for priming and pouring)

5. Using any other liquid besides wine, spirits, or alcohol. (Our pour spouts are designed for wine spirits and alcohol only)

* Don’t whip the bottle into pouring position.

* Don’t go too slow or pour at a horizontal angle.

* If you have a 1.75 bottle remember not to pour too slow. Use the correct angle too.

* Don't  forget to prime your pourer. Otherwise, it may pour inconsistent.

Just use a normal pouring motion.
